Bearing Kingdom Fruits Part 1 By Toluwalola Kasali
A seed is an embryonic plant enclosed in a protective outer covering.
A tree is a permanently woody main stem or trunk, ordinarily growing to a considerable height, and usually developing branches at some distance from the ground.
A fruit is the seed-bearing structure in flowering plants. In common language usage, "fruit" normally means the fleshy seed-associated structures of a plant that are sweet or sour, and edible in the raw state, such as apples, bananas, grapes, lemons, oranges, and strawberries.
A seed is planted deep inside the ground: The seed is not planted above the ground but inside the ground because it needs to be protected and covered during the process of germination. Have you ever wondered why the seed is not put above the ground? The seed is in a fragile state at the beginning and needs to be protected from externalities like the wind, the rain, sandstorms, and animals.
The seed is nurtured to grow into a tree that bears fruit: There are a number of factors that affect the growth of the seed; some of them you have control over and some you don’t. The seed is affected by weather conditions (which only God has control over), the fertilizer (growth enabler), water availability (the Holy Spirit), pesticides to kill off bugs and pests (the enemy of your growth), and also, the soil has to be in the perfect condition or state (the foundation of your heart), etc. Your seed and soil will have to be kept at a particular temperature to guarantee growth.
The seed can first be prepared in a pot before the seedling is taken outside to be planted. Once the seedling is healthy and strong, it can be transported and placed in the ground with deep considerations for space, sunlight, and the type of soil.
When you are a new believer in Christ, you are like a seed then gradually as you grow in Christ, the Lord begins to prepare you, develop you and strengthen you for the Christian walk. He begins to equip you with all the necessary tools; the word, the Holy Spirit, and the amour of God to withstand the plans of the enemy. God knows that to survive out there in the world, you need to be prepared and strong for the race ahead.
You will need to put up a fence to protect your tree from animals that might come to feed on it and also spray the tree to keep away insects. (Your enemy is always prowling around like a roaring lion looking for who to devour. The fence of your heart will need to be raised up, you cannot let your guard down and let the enemy in. A little opening to the enemy gives room for him to take over).
You will need to prune as little as possible the first few years, so you don't delay fruit bearing. You should prune off any branches that are dead or diseased. Rid your young tree of misplaced buds before they have the chance to grow into branches that you’ll just have to prune later. (God will prune you as required when growing, however, as you mature in Christ, He will not take any chances, He will prune every dead or diseased branch so that the bad parts do not affect your entire being).
You start out as a seed but the plan is not for you to remain a seed. The end goal is for you to grow into a tree that can bear fruit. To grow into that strong and big tree that can bear fruit, the Lord will have to prune you and the Holy Spirit will have to guide you and direct you to get you there. The Lord will also have to equip you with the necessary tools for the Christian journey.
You start out as a seed but there is a greater plan ahead for you.
