The Redeemed Christian Church of God Olive Tree Parish’s Teens
church will be putting up a Musical entitled
Ruth - The Musical. The Musical is a
stage play combining drama, singing and dancing, and is based on the book of
Ruth in the Bible. It is the first of its kind at Olive Tree Parish.
Ruth – The Musical was first performed in August 2011 by RCCG Potter’s House and other redeemed churches in the East African Region in Nairobi, Kenya. This Musical builds upon the initial one and adapts the script to the Nigerian context. The Musical is an opportunity for the teens to begin to bond and know one another. This happens through hours of practice and rehearsing together. Also it is a platform for them to develop their God given talents, as they participated through singing, dancing, acting, costume design, props, publicity, fund raising and so on.
